Youth workers engaging in drug education to develop thier knowledge and skills in preparation for detached youth work in the local community........
St John's International School Belguim
DAES participated in health week at St Johns by facilitating a series of workshops across years 6-12 . The students engaged in drug education through a variety of different activities, including quizzes, interactive game show's, group exercises, evaluating multi-media , debates and discussion groups.
London School of Dance
The students participated in a debate style discussion exploring substance misuse related attitudes and opinions. Most of the students were from towns outside London and some were from overseas.
They shared their knowledge and understanding about substance misuse, related harms and high risk situations.
The workshops also explored the relationship between the demands of being a dance student and dealing with study and personal related stress.
Harris City Academy
Small group work.... The pupils participated in a series of health awareness information sessions througout the day.
The Boxburne School Yr 8 pupils.
The sessions were based on the game show " Who wants to be a millionare" "Alcohol Aware".
The sessions were very well received, students enjoyed partcipating in the quiz.
