This one day training course is open to all professionals who have completed a dual diagnosis training day and are working directly with cleints identified as 'dual diagnosis
Course Objectives
- To provide partcipants with a shared peer learning environment in which they can explore current practice and challenges in working with dual diagnosis clients
- To demonstrate via the use of Action Learning Sets, how practice can be improved in working with clients with dual diagnosis
- To increase participants' confidence in working with ' dual diagnosis' clients
- To increase partcipants skill in problem solving
Course Outline
By the end of this course participants will be able to have an understanding of :
- The concept and principles of Action Learning Sets
- Revision of the key principles of effective working practices with dual diagnosis clients
- Rehearsal of specific assessment and treatment intervention skills specific to working with dual diagnosis cleints
