Drug and Alcohol Education services primary concern is to:
-
Minimise the harms associated with drug and alcohol misuse
DAES is often approached by community groups, organisations and in some cases individuals who have limited budgets making it difficult to pay for drug and alcohol awareness training or workshops. Whilst DAES is can offer a reduction in our fees we are not in a postion to make our services available to as many people and organisations as we would like.
The voluntary and statutory sector who commission most our services are also under a great deal of pressure with increased spending cuts.
One way we can overcome this is by receiving donations from individuals and organisations who would like to contribute to helping those in need. Donations and contributions provides a wider opportunity to provide education and training to reach the most vulnerable and at risk in our society.
DAES provides all contributors with a breakdown of how their money has been spent and an opportunity to act as sponsors for partcular events such as focus days in schools, youth settings and targeted interventions.
Please contact us for sponsoring opportunities or see our link below to make a donation.
